Together with
Good Morning,
Labor Day week kicked off to a slow start on the news front, though deal flow came in hot across M&A, startups and fundraising.
Two academics also published an interesting paper on firms backed by Apollo. Somehow, Apollo's portfolio companies are paying 100 bps extra for debt compared to typical PE-backed firms.
Wall Street's leading financial modeling platform Mosaic is now live for credit and investment banking. They've already won the hearts of dealmakers at Apollo, CVC, Evercore, Warburg Pincus and others with their rules-based, deterministic software. It's worth trying out!
Let's dive in.

A Message from Mosaic
The future of deal analysis is here
Mosaic's leading deal modeling platform is making waves since expanding into credit and investment banking, helping dealmakers across Wall Street build complex financial models in minutes.
Their platform is built on proprietary, deterministic, rules-based software to maintain the standards that are non-negotiable in finance.
Now, they're out with yet another critical feature: Accretion / Dilution Models. With their FactSet or Cap IQ integration, you can now evaluate earnings impact of acquisitions with streamlined models that incorporate acquirer and target operating forecasts, synergies, purchase price allocation, and deal financing assumptions.
This is of course just an addition to their core features that make them a Wall Street favorite:
100% accuracy in math, accounting, logic, linking, and auditing
The option to fully format in your firm's styles and templates
The ability to export to Excel with dynamic, auditable formulas
An industry-leading library of models to construct anything from integrated DCFs to 'special situations' like div recaps and earnouts
An AI-friendly ecosystem to upload and feed data by simple drag and drops
If you've ever dreaded building a financial model, you must try out Mosaic. They're already a favorite at leading firms like Apollo, CVC, Evercore, Warburg Pincus, and more.
